Thanksgiving is a special time of year for me. It's a time when I can step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life and take time to think about all of the many things I am thankful for.
I am thankful for family. My family is spread over vast distances across America and Europe. Despite the miles my family is a large part of my life. There would be little meaning in my life without them.
I am thankful for my profession. I feel very blessed that I get to work in an industry that I love. I've been drawing houses and floor plans since I was a very small boy. I studied construction management at university. I love everything to do with house and I love helping people. I get the best of both!
I am thankful for God. My family believes in God and we are thankful for the many blessings that we feel we receive through his grace every day.
I am thankful for health. My family, in general, does not live with fantastic health. Having said that, our bodies are healthy enough to enjoy each other and our daily activities. Not everyone can say that.
I am thankful for friends who I consider my "extended family" and bring me great joy and fellowship during good and challenging times.
I am thankful for Lakeland and our community. I have enjoyed our town since 2006 and it grows on me more and more each year. There is no place I'd rather be.
