Sales tax holiday

Did you know that the 2020 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday runs from May 29 to June 4, 2020 throughout Florida?

You can save money when you buy from a wide variety eligible items including inexpensive reusable ice packs (with a sale price less than $10) all the way up to portable generators (with a sales price less than $750). Eligible items will be free from Florida state sales tax this coming weekend. Get a PDF showing the items that qualify for sales tax exemption here.

There have been a number of amendments since 2002 and today's brand new homes are built to the highest standard ever seen in the sunshine state. (Have a brief look at the history of the Florida Building Code here.)
